A membership at the TPC Prestancia gains entry not only to a golf and country club in Sarasota, Florida. The TPC in this club’s name stands for Tournament Players Club, and as such, Prestancia members can also obtain access to a network of public and private golf courses across the US.
This private membership golf club is based in Palmer Ranch, a large mixed property development straddling the cities of Sarasota and Osprey in Florida. There are six membership options in TPC Prestancia with fees between $4,000 and $20,000. Included here are a social memberships and a private club called M2M (member to member) useful for business networking.
TPC Prestancia operates a 35,000-square foot, Mediterranean-style clubhouse very conducive to member interaction. Among its amenities are private meeting rooms and facilities for indoor and outdoor dining. These delights include a spacious and cozy lounge area called Sandhill Grill equipped with flat-screen TV. In addition to this are newly renovated banquet rooms that have access to Wi-Fi, a well-stocked pro shop, and full-service locker room facilities.
A reciprocal agreement with Serendipity Racquet Club enables TPC Prestancia to provide additional amenities to its members. Accessible through this arrangement are 19 Har-Tru tennis courts and a junior Olympic-size, heated swimming pool. These facilities, which also provide training and fitness lessons, are conveniently located within the Prestancia golf courses.
Golf Courses at Prestancia
There are two golf courses at TPC Prestancia, the Stadium and the Club Course, both featuring 18 holes of play. The par-72 Stadium Course comes as fourth in the TPC network of affiliated courses in the US. This is a championship layout measuring 6,927 yards, designed by Mike Souchak and Ron Garl who provided gentler greens on the long holes and more demanding ones on the short holes.
The Club Course, measuring 6,571 yards from the longest tees, also plays at par 72. It was designed by Robert Von Hagge and Bruce Devlin, a PGA Tour journeyman who acted as consultant. This layout incorporates classic doglegs and presents constant challenges that might be difficult to overcome even by the most seasoned of golfers.
The Florida Golfer Magazine has described TPC Prestancia as “The number one private club in Southwest Florida.” The club’s 565-acre expanse is also an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, a tribute to the golf courses’ commitment and adherence to environmental protection and conservation, as well as wildlife habitat creation.
A practice area covering 93,000 square feet is available to Prestancia members for bunker play, chipping, putting, and driving. The TPC Passport Program covering 21 clubs and the Heritage Collection of 16 private and resort courses across the US are likewise accessible with membership in this golf club.
Prestancia Real Estate
