The Founders Club’s 18-hole, par 72 championship golf course is a disciple of the traditional Scottish links. The layout was opened in 2005 and measures 7,094 yards. It was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., a golf course architect of global renown for the scores of fine layouts he has already created. His creation at The Founders Club features gently rolling contours with the iconic Florida palms and centuries-old oaks and pine trees, lakes and wetlands as backdrop. Nonetheless, lying hidden in each hole traversing well-manicured fairways amid the serene environment are some challenges providing some of the most dynamic and exhilarating plays.
Jones followed the “core” principle in his design, eliminating roads within the course for dynamic and uninterrupted play. The Founders home sites are well set back too from the layout to further ensure the unspoiled views from within the playing field. Leisurely play is fostered by a traditional caddie program and a no-tee-time rule. Golfer-members can further improve their game in the club’s teaching facility with state-of-the-art gadgetry plus the professional services of a staff trainer.
